I am a firm believer in the sovereignty of the Constitution and do not believe it is a "living" document. The following are not county issues, however, it seems local government is creeping closer and and closer to infringing on our basic rights.

The First Amendment must be preserved:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances."

The Second Amendment must be preserved:
"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."
